This article is about one of the best concepts I can share with you to help you sell your knowledge for an internet marketing business. This concept I like to refer to as the funnel.

Have you ever seen a funnel before? If so, you know that it has a large opening at the top and a small opening at the bottom. You can fit a lot of items into the top of the funnel. However, only a small amount of items can fit into the bottom of the funnel. This is because the bottom is tighter and has a limited amount of space available.

When you are running a real online business your product portfolio should look the exact same way. At the top of your portfolio should be free offers that people can obtain with no strings attached. A perfect example is a free article you write on a blog. As you continue on through your portfolio, you should require more but offer better value. You might offer a free report in exchange for an email address. You then offer a $10 report, a $50 book, a $100 training program and so on.

So what are the benefits to setting a business where you sell your knowledge up like a funnel? It naturally makes it easier for you to build up trust in the minds and hearts of your prospects. As your prospects make the decision to invest more with you, it allows you to build trust in their mind by delivering on the value you promised on your sales page. This is because every increase in value and price requires a greater commitment from your prospect.

As a result, it is important that you take the time to build confidence in you in the mind of your customers. You need to demonstrate to them through your marketing process when you sell your knowledge that you care about them and not just their money. The key to these online business opportunities is to build trust in the mind of your customers. This will help them to understand your message and they eventually become promoters of your message, which is how you find affiliates.

This is exactly how the funnel works in your internet marketing business. As you begin your real online business, your main focus is to find something to sell. If you can do that, you know you can make money. That being said, the business owners who recognize this process will make more money and will have more customers doing higher value transactions with them because of this. As the needs of their customer, they are able to meet those needs.

As a result, as you continue to grow the confidence and ability of your customer base, they will continue to want more products from you that address all of their needs. Your products should provide more value. Your products should automate some of the tasks they need to do. This will help your customers to expand the capabilities of their business. Of course, if you are just getting started, you might need to take it slow. However, you do want to keep this in mind so that you can build your business accordingly.

Content is considered to be the king in the world of SEO. Web content writing and SEO services should go hand in hand. So, it is extraordinarily critical whilst writing content for your website; it should be technically convincing, no keyword spamming in your content, capable of enticing reader’s interest in the site. Higher the amount of visitors higher is the ranking, which further guarantees higher development of your business growth.

Apart from web content writing on-page optimization plays a particularly critical role to reach the top ranking of your internet site. It isn’t critical for any internet site to look good but it should be appropriate either for the Google’s, Yahoo or MSN’s crawler and spider.

Any good SEO Service provider company should know and understand the fact that the content and the structure of the internet site are directly related to each other for the on page optimization factor. So, they need to consider following points while doing the organic on page optimization for any website –

1 First one is to see the Meta Tags. One of the most significant parts for on-page optimization. These tags are known as the particular text as the particular text or the description will display in search results. Meta tags should be optimized properly so that web crawlers and spectators can see that. Meta tags should hold the centered keywords, title and the applicable description of the internet site to extend the search engine rankings. A Meta tag improves the CTR of your internet site.

2 Header tags are the most effective way to explain your website. It should be at the top of your most important page with targeted keywords. Header tags create wonders for the site and you may use H1, H2, H3 tags to explain your internet site and also it maintains and promotes the keywords and word density.

3 We must properly target keywords in our internet site so that we can attract much kind of visitors at 1 time. And it shouldn’t look like a spammy website otherwise it’ll negatively affect our site ranking.

4 Crawlers do not optimize the image and the flash web sites. They are not able to read such sort of photographs. They have different sort of algorithms for that and it is very tough to optimize and to get higher rankings. It’s way better to optimize pictures with ALT Tag with proper keywords and well outlined sentences.

5 Crawlers do not identify long links and the damaged links so it’s far better to have tiny links in our site.

6 it’s miles better to have a URL of the internet site related to the product or the service or it should have the keyword targeted URL. This helps visitors to grasp and guess about your website and what it contains.

There are plenty of other considerations are there to help in higher ranking for the site. But if we properly optimize our page then we are able to simply get higher ranking on the search engines. On-Page Optimization is offered by many SEO Services provider but they are able to see a loophole in our website that impacts the ranking of our internet site. If they properly implemented with these on-page tricks definitely they will achieve a higher ranking in all the search engines.

I want to tell you a true story.

I went to a car auction yesterday. I walked past the auctioneer and he made a funny joke about wouldn’t wanna make the big guy upset with me or anything. My head spun around looking for that big guy that the auctioneer was discussing publicly on his mic.

I did a double take as I realized, hey its me.

About an hour later, a 2004 Chev Impala came down the line of cars and I heard from across the large auction area that it was going for 1600. I quickly shouldered my way thru 2 lanes of cars and people to see it.

By the time I got there, a lot of people had arrived there already and the bid started moving quickly upward from 1800 dollars.

I walked around it quickly and before I had done that, the price was 2000.

I looked at the odometer reading and the price popped to 2,100 dollars.

Pausing 2 seconds in indecision allowed the price to move smoothly to 2200. I put up my hand and it – the price went to 2300.

Finally I was noticed and the fast talking auctioneer set the price at 2,350 dollars. Then the strangest thing happened, everyone looked at me and there was silence. The bidding simply stopped.

The talkative auctioneer tried for the next 30 seconds but no one would place another bid on the car. Finally, he made some joke about big arms and frightened competition and the bidding was stopped.

So, I bought this medium mileage 2004 Impala, worth about 5-7,000 for a just 2,350 dollars.

So size does matter sometimes.

And how is this related to Internet marketing

I was laughingly discussing this with a friend of mine and he said that would not have happened if the auction took place online. He sure was right. As an online marketer, seller or buyer, you can do nearly anything in your pajamas. Online you can’t be intimidated by someone’s physical presence, their bad perfume, aggressive stance or any of those other aspects.

Picking up a niche market that you believe in, googling it, getting a domain name and using a content managment system like Joomla or Wordpress to quickly put up a site, then actively marketing that in similar discussion boards and other blogs is — in one runaway sentence **all you need to do**

Running an online business from home is like a dream job. Demanding, sometimes frustrating but definitely worth the reward for the 5% who figure out how to make it work.

With an internet business, to get out of bed or not is entirely your choice. Find a nice park, on a sunny summer’s day- get out your laptop and work as you watch your children play..

And this is my favorite – Get yourself out on a comfortable beach chair somewhere warm, bring your business laptop and try not to let your Attention Deficit Syndrome get the better as the barely clad bodies get between you and your uhmmm, errhh computer screen.

P.S. I am strongly advocating that you attempt to grow a business that enables you to work online however it might be a very serious mistake so I am also saying never buy a car at an internet auction. The cameras that are focused on the cars, do not allow you to smell the exhaust fumes, see the color of the white exhaust fumes or see minute scratches that might run the entire length of the vehicle. I and many others have stood there and watched peers stop bidding on a car while the online folks continued to run up the price several thousands of pounds past the point that it should have.

In writing this HP TouchSmart review, I explored more uses for this technology and was fascinated to learn that it is being used in an interesting way at Chicago’s Ohara airport.

As Web 2.0 becomes less of just a buzzword and more of a reality, the types of sites webmasters need to publish will increasingly become more important. In other words, mini-sites are slowly dying and cookie-cutter article sites are on the way out as well. Web surfers will become more value-focused and web companies will become larger.

Over the next few years expect larger conglomerates to be buying up profitable websites in their chosen markets. Expect smaller sites to either be bought or driven out of business. My intention is not to scare you, but this outcome is inevitable.

Large businesses have always taken two approaches to their desired markets. They either buy their competition or they push them out of business. You want to be prepared when this trend begins on the Internet.

Being a webmaster and online marketer, you should be preparing for one of two scenarios. To position yourself for a buyout to a larger company or to become the larger company that dominates your chosen market.

Whichever route you choose is entirely up to you, but I would suggest that it would be in your best interest to begin focusing on authority sites. You can either start building them or turning your current sites into them. Whatever your approach may be, I assure you it will help you sleep better at night.

What Is The Definition Of An Authority Site?

A fairly comprehensible authority site definition was put forward by Jason Dowdell of Global Promoter. Jason defined it this way: “Authority sites are sites that have been linked to and referenced on other web sites covering the same subject matter and they also will have hundreds if not thousands of pages covering that subject matter and nearly every facet of it.”

That definition is one man’s opinion, albeit a good one, but let us go directly to the source. Many search engine optimization and search engine marketing experts believe Google has derived their primary algorithm from a document titled, “Hilltop: A Search Engine based on Expert Documents”.

The PageRank formula as we know it today was derived from this paper, and the authors, Bharat and Mihaila, define an authority site in the text below:

“We believe a page is an authority on the query topic if and only if some of the best experts on the query topic point to it. Of course in practice some expert pages may be experts on a broader or related topic. If so, only a subset of the hyperlinks on the expert page may be relevant.”

“In such cases the links being considered have to be carefully chosen to ensure that their qualifying text matches the query. By combining relevant out-links from many experts on the query topic we can find the pages that are most highly regarded by the community of pages related to the query topic. This is the basis of the high relevance that our algorithm delivers.”

What we have reprinted above is the foundation of the PageRank system and the determination for deciding which sites will be authorities. I highly recommend you read and re-read the full document until you understand every aspect of it.

What Are the Components Of An Authority Site?

Allow me to present you with a diagram that dissects your typical authority site. As you can tell from the diagram, a considerable number of components and systems must be in place for the authority site to function profitably and reap the benefits of the “Authority Site Formula”.

The Authority Site Formula = Visitor Optimization (VO) + Content Optimization (CO) * Creative Marketing (CM)

A simple question must be asked. What do 99.9% of authority sites provide? In a sentence, an incredible amount of original content and a superb visitor experience. The search engines want you to succeed and they want you to make money, but you have to play by their rules. In the future, focus your efforts on visitor optimization and content optimization instead of search engine optimization.

What Is The Anatomy Of An Authority Site?

About.com is the definition and was the original authority site. Their site has a generic domain name and hundreds of subdomains on different topics.

Your authority site should take the same approach, but not on such a general level. If you launch an authority site, it should be geared towards a well-defined and large market. After you launch the site and generate some traffic, you should create subdomains that cover specific areas inside that larger market.

For example, Diabetic-Resources.Com is not an active site; but if it were, then a typical authority site setup would be something like:

* http://supplies.diabetic-resources.com * http://diet.diabetic-resources.com * http://insurance.diabetic-resources.com * http://symptoms.diabetic-resources.com * http://treatment.diabetic-resources.com

Using this approach, you are able to target your general market while generating more targeted traffic pertaining to related sub-markets.

As a rule of thumb, the index pages on your domains and subdomains should be more focused on content, but the article and commentary pages should be more focused on advertising. Just do not ever lose sight of the most important aspect of your site, which is visitor experience otherwise known as visitor optimization.

What Does It Take To Create An Authority Site?

You want to create a site that generates thousands of visitors a day mainly through the major search engines, and would ultimately be the one-stop source for information in that particular market.

Your site must employ 3 traits to become an authority site. Let’s discuss all 3 necessary aspects:

Dynamic: You should have as many RSS feeds as you can muster to incorporate throughout your site. Your visitors need to be able to receive RSS feeds for any keyword, category or archive as well as create their own. One feed is no longer enough to satisfy your visitors.

Interactive: You should be engaging the minds of your visitors at all times using surveys, commenting and feedback. Make these features easy for your visitors and your site will grow exponentially. Why? Because they feel like you actually care about them. Interaction is a powerful tool and creates a sense of community on your site.

Consistent: You should post to your blog often, and you should always provide quality and original content. That doesn’t mean you need to produce 800-word articles 3 times a week. Your goal should be to become a news master. You need to be an “authority” on the news happening in your niche.

If you follow the steps and guidelines listed above, then you will be on your way to being the owner of an authority site.

Staying on budget for business advertising can be tough. This article has some great information on some of the best ways to advertise. It also has some wonderful information on inexpensive advertisements.

Advertising can depend a lot on what target audience you want to reach. Sometimes reaching a local market can be easier than reaching a national one. Although with the help of the internet now days, reaching a national market is easier than ever before.

Advertising in news papers that are delivered for free to local neighborhoods is a great idea. I think most people are more likely to read these papers, as they want to know what is going on around them. They also like that they don’t have to pay for them. The large metro newspapers in your area are a great way of advertising as well. These papers can reach a very large audience, as they tend to get passed around and read often throughout the day.

People are driving around all the time, so consider going to a print shop and getting some signs printed with your business name and location on it. You can put these signs pretty much anywhere to draw attention. Bold words in brilliant colors tend to work the best, because it is easier for drivers to see them.

There are also internet sites specifically made for advertising to a local area. You can find these by doing a search for them. Some of these sites are free while others charge a small fee. Lots of people frequent free local classifieds, this is a great free way to advertise if you can find the right sites!

If you want to reach a larger market and are considering creating it yourself there are a lot of programs out there that will give you a tutorial on how to do this. Chances are your website will not look as sleek and clean as a professional site; however you will be saving some money for now! This can be a great way to build up your business if you know what you are doing!

You might consider placing ad banners on other people’s sites. You will need to contact the owners of these sites and ask them how much they would charge you to do this. You can also check with the major search engines and see what it would cost to advertise with them.

Your advertising you should be creative and really draw attention. Think of some wild and crazy advertising campaigns and just go for it! People love fun fresh advertising! Try contacting your friends and family and see if they have any ideas. You might even consider looking at the forums on the internet and asking lots of questions about what worked for others. Remember to be polite and let others know what is working for you. This doesn’t mean that you have to give away all of your secrets!
