For those of you who don’t know what an opt in box is, let me explain it to you. This is the box that you find on websites all over the internet that pops up while you are trying to read the page and ask you to join there newsletter, and offers you a free gift if you do.

And while it may seem annoying and a waste of time and space, I have some information that will change your mind. It is critical that you know just how effective these little pop up boxes are in the importance email marketing.

They could literally, double, triple, or even quadruple your sales if you use them appropriately.

You should know the importance of email marketing already, and the importance of getting people to sign up to your list. The opt in box helps, it allows people to get more information on your service or product and the people don’t have to buy the product right away, they sign up for your newsletter and this helps build your list.

Once your list is built you send them emails that expose their need or a problem that they may or may not realize they have and then you offer your product as a solution. It’s sounds weird and a little cheesy, I know, but you would be shocked at how effective it is.

You can also use the same list to sell other products in your same niche. For example: people who love there dogs would be interested in many different types of dog products.

All you need is a simple software or script that adds the opt in box to your site, and then sorts and manages the list that is formed. It then allows you to send the emails that you want sent out, in a specific order, and at a specific time interval or day, and then tracks the outcomes to help you evaluate what emails are being open and which ones need more work.

So what at first seems rather simple becomes a complex and incredibly valuable tool for any serious internet marketer who is always looking for ways to increase there conversions on any or all of his products or services.

So why is the opt in tool so effective? Good question, unfortunately not one that has a complete answer. But I will take a shot at it by giving you some of my thought’s that could explain the effectiveness of the opt in list builder.

For one thing it lets the customer delay making a decision on something that they haven’t decided to purchase yet. Either they didn’t realize they needed it as bad as your are telling them they do or is was just something they were checking out to see if it is something they think they need.

Now because it is really an easy process for these people to sign up for this free information simply by entering there email… they sign up for the free information or download you are offering. When you give stuff away people will sign up.

And that as they say is that. You can take an annoying little opt in box, and start putting your internet marketing on steroids.
